Sorry for neglecting my page. All I have is horrible, horrible news. I had to get rid of 3 of my chickens a month ago. A few days ago, my buff orpington and silkie, my favorite birds, were horribly attacked and killed my a neighbors dog. I am heart broken. My rhode island red was luckly not attacked, but my barred rock was but is still alive at the moment, we are hoping her wounds will heal. I hope you are all doing well.

The first set of chicks hatched about the 18th of July under a couple of broody hens, mom and my black hen. I think most if not all are from mom, but its always possible that a few eggs from other hens snuck in there. Plus, after they hatched I noticed there was a lot more eggs still in the next…
